Credit cards

My credit card company is definitely serious about credit card fraud. If anything unusual happens, they call me immediately or stop all charges on my credit card (until I can verify that all is alright). I just bought a computer this morning and within two hours, they gave me a call to verify the charge. Once I traveled out of the city in which we lived and used our card without telling them about my travel plans. They put a stop on all charges on my card until I could call them to verify things.

Their customer service, well, that is not so good. If I do have a problem on either the weekend or after business hours (and this is more typical than I had expected), I get a serious workout on their telephone lines. I get shuffled from one electronic message to another for what seems like hours (but is probably only about 0.75 to 1.5 hours really).

I am definitely impressed with their seriousness regarding fraud. They also have a very reasonable rate (9.90 % for as long as I have had this card). If they could just improve customer service, then I would likely never leave this credit card company.

(If you want to know the name, send me an email. I don't want to put it up on the internet for fear of identity theft.)
